Ried
Mitterkräften

The vineyard Mitterkräften is located in the small village Putzing and is directly next to Ried Oberes Feld. This vineyard is known above all for its elegant Zweigelt. The noticeably cooler microclimate in this vineyard, which is mainly due to a forest to the west not far away, gives the Zweigelt growing here a particularly elegant fruit.  

The southern exposure and the loess soil also characterize our Zweigelt. Loess is calcareous rock dust that was blown here from the Alpine region during the cold phases of the Ice Age when there was little vegetation.
