About us

Where profession meets responsibility, work meets fun and tradition meets modernity

We philosophize about soil, life and craftsmanship and place these three pillars at the heart of our daily activities. We philosophize about soil, life and craftsmanship and place these three pillars at the heart of our daily activities.

Soil.

Our most important resource, which connects countless generations, is our vital soil. In every vineyard, colorful flowering greenery grows all year round to provide a real oasis of well-being for microorganisms and our animal co-inhabitants. Our greenery thus ensures an active soil and a harmonious coexistence of many different creatures. It is also important to us to drive the tractor into the vineyard as rarely as possible so as not to compact the soil. We don’t want to destroy the life that takes place in it.

Life.

A vineyard is a habitat. Our vineyards are balanced ecosystems in which we promote biodiversity. By planting greenery and selectively mowing the plants, we give biomass back to the soil, which is converted into important nutrients by earthworms and fungi. We are convinced that this in turn strengthens our vines. We believe that this is a wonderful cycle that we do not want to disrupt by using chemical pesticides. Herbicides and insecticides therefore have no place.

Craftsmanship.

Quality is a matter close to our hearts. Which is why we take it into our own hands. In the truest sense of the word: throughout the year, we carefully tend our vines by hand. Pruning, foliage work, grape reduction and harvesting are the most important work steps. This not only allows us to work more precisely and attentively, but also spares the plants any mechanical strain. This enables us to guarantee consistent quality and to consciously perceive the special features of each vineyard row.

Our cellar

preserving terroir and quality.

Our wine cellar is modernly equipped and offers us everything we need for gentle processing. Our aim is to show the world the treasures of the southern Weinviertel and to bring wines that are typical of their origin and fun to drink.

But we don’t want to stand still: every year there is a new experiment.
